Process

Every system
begins as
a drawing.

We don’t sell from a catalogue. Every MONO CLOSETS project begins with a conversation, develops through rigorous design, and is built by hand in Los Angeles. Four stages. One result: a space built exactly for the way you live.

01
Consultation — In person or virtual · 60 minutes

We begin by listening. Before a single line is drawn, we spend time understanding how you live: what you store, how you dress, what your current space fails to do. There is no sales presentation. No obligation. Just a considered conversation about your home and what it needs.

02
Design — Architectural drawings · Material selections

The studio produces a full set of architectural drawings and a curated material palette. Before you approve anything, we send a sample box of every finish directly to your home — so you can live with the materials before committing. A design fee applies.

03
Build — Joinery-grade millwork · Fabricated in Los Angeles

Every component is built to architectural tolerance in our Los Angeles workshop. We use no imported flat-pack components — every panel, drawer, and rail is fabricated here. Lead time communicated clearly at proposal stage. Built to last decades, not seasons.

04
Installation — White-glove · Site protected · Full walkthrough

Our team handles everything. Your home is protected throughout. The site is left clean and complete. On installation day, we walk through every detail with you — covered under your lifetime structural warranty.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much does a custom closet cost?+
Every project is priced based on scope, materials, and size. We don’t publish prices because no two projects are alike. During your consultation, we’ll give you a clear, detailed proposal — no surprises.
How long does the process take?+
From first consultation to installation, most projects take 6–10 weeks. This includes design (2–3 weeks), fabrication (3–5 weeks), and installation (1–3 days).
Do you work with interior designers and architects?+
Yes — and we love it. Our Trade Program offers trade pricing, dedicated project contact, and spec-ready technical drawings. Apply through our Contact page and we’ll be in touch within 24 hours.
What areas do you serve?+
We serve all of Los Angeles. Primary areas include Brentwood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Studio City, Calabasas, and beyond.
What is included in the warranty?+
All MONO CLOSETS systems come with a lifetime structural warranty on our millwork. Hardware and soft-close mechanisms are covered for 5 years.
Can I see the materials before deciding?+
Absolutely. Before you approve any design, we send a physical sample box of every finish we’re proposing directly to your home. No other closet studio in Los Angeles does this.
What happens after I submit an inquiry?+
One of our team responds personally within 24 hours. We’ll arrange a 60-minute consultation — in person at your home or virtually. There is no sales presentation and no obligation.
